Zapkut key to signmaker's growth
Released 24th January 2012

Launched in 2008 by Sandhurst Autoprint, Weedoo Signs is that rare thing – a company which is actively and successfully pursuing growth despite the current economic turbulence. In the summer of 2011, the company installed a key component in its growth strategy: a ZM12 vertical panel saw from British wall saw specialist Zapkut Limited.

Stuart Barker, Signs Manager at Weedoo Signs, explained. "To achieve sustainable growth, we needed flexibility, scalability and the ability to deliver consistently excellent products and services. With almost all of our products involving the cutting of sheet materials, that meant we needed to bring sheet material cutting in house."

Considering the alternatives
Weedoo Signs considered three alternative approaches to cutting sheet materials: buying them in cut-to-size, cutting them with hand held tools, or using a purpose-built in-house panel saw.
