Zapkut Limited, the Hampshire (UK) based vertical panel saw specialist, rounded off an excellent year in 2009 by winning the Inspire '09 Micro Business of the Year Award. The judges praised the company for its clear sense of direction and its international outlook.

The company was established by Managing Director Keith Bunker to meet a specific need in the market. "Over the twenty-odd years that I've been working in the vertical panel saw market, one request has come up again and again, from both users and distributors," he said. "There was a clear need for a tool that would offer the accuracy, ease of use and safety of a vertical panel saw, but at a lower cost and in a compact, portable package."
